Dev Log 4 - The first layer

So to jump into it, there have been 4 main additions: New GDD, New Attributes/Stats, new events, and some new content.
Side note, still not really a playable game.
Revamped Game Design Document
So first off I took the notes I've had and put them into a ramshackled GDD. It's not clean but it's helping me work out what systems I will need. I love lewd games, especially the open world ones. That's why I started this game, I felt the curse system would be great for character creation and development.
But I’ve been thinking, excluding the city most human contact will be limited, leading to just monsters and animals fucking you, which isn’t everyones cup of tea. At the same time, looking at the curse mechanics, they really aren’t fun game wise. I’ve known this for a while and had ideas, but decided to just write it all down to let it consolidate.
New attribute/Stat system/Curse System
Following above, I redid the attributes and stats for the character to better reflect how I think gameplay should go.
For the curse, I’m doing something similar to most Fallout games with radiation. So it's not immediate, instead building up overtime, and at 100% it hits you with a curse. Lore wise it allows for more bandits, delvers, adventures to be throughout the layers.
More event types
Before events consisted of I do a thing, and I get a response. I’ve changed that up to events being interruptible, so I try walking down the street and I find money, or I fall asleep on the street and get raped.
In addition I've added trigger events. This occurs whenever a trigger comes true, example being when stats get to a certain point like stamina running out and leading to passing out.
Next I’m looking into more ‘scene’ events. These will essentially be 1-2 characters in a scene that allow you to take actions in turn. With the above rape example right now its just a one sentence feedback letting you know what happened. These scene events instead would let you play it out. Potentially changing the outcome, but also become far more descriptive.

To test out the curse mechanics we have layer 1! Again it's super basic, just to test out mechanics(Curse build-up, exploration). In addition there's more events in the city mainly used to test out different event requirements, day vs night time, gender based, trigger events.
So for next time, the big focus is on the scene events, these might also take the place of fights within the game, essentially turning your traditional RPG maker fight into you deciding how to play it out. Punch them, seduce them, convince them they should bow to you, fuck their brains out, as long as the scene ends you're all good.
